E.S.C.O.T. – EUROPE presents the international meeting for High Schools: "European Schools Gala 2014", to be held on 9, 10, 11 and 12 April 2014.
For four days Abano Terme, Montegrotto Terme and Padova will become a meeting point for Europe, attracting students and teachers of High Schools of as many as thirty European countries and, for the first time, High Schools coming from U.S.A., Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Japan and China.
This is a third edition of a great event where to experience altogether art, culture, sports, friendship and thermal wellness. In a festive atmosphere all participants will reap benefits in terms of personal growth as human beings as well as from an educational and cultural point of view.
Many activities are scheduled for this event.
It will start with an opening ceremony, with a parade of delegations of the participating schools, presenting themselves on the international scene, also with the help of a self-produced video-clip about the school and all its activities.
For the first time, there will be the European Open Day, meeting point for all the schools that want to deepen their presentation on the international scene, to build up focused twinning and to develop cultural exchanges. It will follow an entire afternoon dedicated to sport events.
Concerning the health education, there will be the conference entitled "Primary prevention and thermal wellness for young people" followed by the screening of video clips produced by schools (during the school year 2013/2014) on the theme: "A day in an Health Resort with my School".
There will be also a party, where all the participants can enjoy the amusing and socializing moment.
The highlight of this event, though, is the prize-awarding Ceremony.
Under the supervision of an International Jury, different categories of prizes will be awarded to the participating High Schools.
The event will be concluded with guided tours that will help the students to discover the internationally known art treasures of this territory starting from Abano Terme And Montegrotto Terme and its nearest art towns, Padua and Venice.
